Sydney/Adelaide - Australien (23.10-31.10.2005) / Sydney/Adelaide - Australia (10/23 - 10/31/2005)

 


Between October 23 and October 30, 2005 i made my 4th trip to Sydney in Australia.
After an comfortably Check-In at Austrian Premium Check-In counter, we walked to Austrian Senator Lounge at the A-Gates.


Boarding was at gate A04. Our plane to down under was the Boeing 777-2Z9(ER) OE-LPC which has already
been painted in the new Austrian livery. With a delay of 30 minutes we were taxiing to runway 29 for departure, so
I was able to make some pictures from my seat 40B of Austrian widebodies.

After takeoff from runway 29 we made a left turn towards Hungary continuing to the romanien black sea border.


The flight route continued along the caucasus mountains towards Pakistan/India.



After approximately 11 hours flighttime we landed on runway 14R in Kuala Lumpur. After a 1 hour stop
we continued our flight to Australia via KLIA's runway 32R.

We passed Singapore with a very clear view down to the city. Unfortunately it was still dark, so the
pictures not very sharp but Changi airport is clear visible.




Via Broome and Ayers Rock we flew towards Sydney. The landing was on Sydney's runway 34L in the
afternoon.



On the following days we stayed in Sydney - a fantastically city !!
The weather was also very beautiful with an temperature of 25 degrees celsius.

On saturday the 29th we visited Adelaide for one day. In the morning we started to the airport and at 7:10am we
departed as Qantas 735 via runway 34L twoards Adelaide. Our plane was a Boeing 737-838 with the registration
VH-VXR. After 2 hours of flight we landed in Adelaide on runway 23.
Unfortunately it was raining the whole day.

In the afternoon we returned to Sydney via Melbourne. Qantas 692 to Melbourne started at 5:15pm on runway 23.
The plane was a Boeing 737-838 with the registration VH-VXD. After 1 hour we landed at runway 16 at Melbourne.
The transfer was about 30 minutes so i had possibility to take some night shots.

Finaly a Boeing 767-336(ER) VH-ZXD brought us back to Sydney as Qantas 464.
Takeoff at Melbourne was on runway 16, the landing at Sydney at runway 34L.


Unfotunately it was raining on the last day in Sydney. At the airport i made some pictures out of
the Air New Zealand Lounge.

At 6:30pm we took of at runway 34L as Austrian 2 towards Kuala Lumpur and Vienna, where we arrived
45 minutes before schedule.
