From
25th to 31th of October we made a city trip to Singapore, Jakarta
and Kuala Lumpur.
In the morning we were going the airport, after check-in we sent the
time until boarding at the Senator lounge at
pier east. Boarding for our flight Austrian 7 to Singapore was at
gate A06. With a delay of 45 minutes we took off
at runway 16 for our 11 hour flight to Singapore. Unfortunately I
made no pictures during the flight. In fact we
had 45 minutes delay, we landed on schedule the in the next morning
at Singapore Changi at runway 02L. We
had an wonderful view onto Singapore at night during our approach
to the airport. We were going to our hotel
by taxi - The hotel was the Swissotel The Stamford. Former the highest
hotel inthe world with a height of
895 ft. Our room was located at the 59th floor with a balcony and
a marvelous view to the skyline of Singapore.

After
a short break in our hotel we continued our holidays with a walk through
Singapore. From our Hotel to the business
district and the singapore river we had only some minutes to walk. The
weather was also very good. Another highlight in
Singapore is the Sentosa island with a lot of parks and sights. We visited
Mount Faber py cable car from Sentosa Island
With a marvelous view to downtown Singapore and the surrounding sea.
This was my second visit at Singapore, but the
City show allways some new things.

At October 27, 2004 we made a day trip to Jakarta.
In the morning we were going to the airport and after check-in we
continued to our departure gate E26. Our aircraft for flight Singapore
154 to Jakarta was an Airbus A340-541 9V-SGC.
The legroom in the economy class was very good. After a 1 hour flight
we landed at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport at runway 25R.

The
temperature was very high - at about 37 degree Celsuis but the air humidity
was terrible.
We looked for a bus into the city of Jakarta. We spent the most time
in downtown Jakarta. The were not much sights.

At the evening we returned to Singapore. This
time our aircraft was an Boeing 777-212(ER) 9V-SQF for flight Singapore
163.
In fact of the high temperatur and air humidity it was worth makeing
the day trip to Jakarta.
We made another day trip to Kuala Lumpur at the
29th of October. This was also my second visit at malaysian capital.
But there were a lot of new things and sights to see. We left Singapore
Changi at 8:30am and arrived at Kuala Lumpur
International aprox. 35 minutes later. This time we booked a first class
flight, because the price was only 30 Euros more
than into economy class. The service was very good for this short hop.

Flight Singapore 106 - Boeing 777-212(ER) 9V-SVB
After
arrival at Kuala Lumpur airport we took the airport express train
into the city of Kuala Lumpur. First stop during our
day trip was at Menara Kuala Lumpur - a 1381ft. hight telecommunications
tower. On top of the tower we had a very good
view over Kuala Lumpur. After Menara Kuala Lumpur we continued to
the Petronas Tower - the landmark of Kuala Lumpur.
Unfortunately we got no tickets for the observation deck. In the afternoon
we also visited the palace of the king with
an big garden in front of the building.

In the late afternoon we returned to the airport
by the airport express train again. We visited the Star Alliance Gold
Lounge
until boarding at gate C02. The departure at runway 32R was ontime
at 9:45pm. Our aircraft for flight Singapore 119
from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore was a Boeing 777-212(ER) 9V-SRE in
star alliance livery.
Our holidays at Singapore, Jakarta and Kuala
Lumpur ended at October 31, 2004. We were going to the airport in
the evening
by taxi. After check-in we spent the last hours in the Lounge. Boarding
for flight Austrian 8 to Vienna was at gate E04. Short
after midnight we took off at runway 02Rto our 12 hour flight to Vienna,
where ew landed 30 minuted before schedule at
runway 29. Aircraft was a Boeing 777-2Z9(ER) OE-LPA.
