|Mauritius (01.-16.12.2004) / Mauritius (December 1 to December 16, 2004)|
the begin of December 2004 we made holidays at Mauritius for 2 weeks.
In the evening of 1st of December we started
After customs our travel agent already waited for us. We used a bus for the transfer to our hotel. The hotel Le Canonnier
is located in the north-west of Mauritius. The transfer took aprox. 1 hour but after this trip we could relax from the long
at the pool. The hotel was also fantastically - beautiful beach, really big pool and very good restaurants. The hotel is located
on an small peninsula - so it is surrounded at 3 sides by the sea. The following to weeks were very beautiful - we relaxed
all days at the pool or in the sea.
Some impressions from our hotel Le Canonnier ...
We also made a daytrip through Mauritius. In the southern part of the islands are the most sights of the country.
The landscape is really beautiful - green sugar fields and trees. Although the trip was very arduously it was worth
travelling throug this country.
Some pictured from the daytrip ...
At 14th of December we decided to make an helicopter roundtrip over Mauritius. Because our hotel had no landing platform
we went to the hotel Legends per Taxi. After paying the small landing fee we were able to go to the helicopter.
All helicpoter roundtrips are accomplished by Air Mauritius. Our helicopter was an Bell 206B Jetranger 3B-NZF with
a very friendly pilot. I was allowed to sit beside the pilot - my girlfriend had the whole second row for her own.
We also passed our hotel Le Canonnier during the roundtrip.
Some photos during the roundtrip ...
