From
11th to 13th of June we made a visit to our partner fire-brigade at
Langenbach/Germany. We had booked a flight from
Vienna to Dusseldorf. Boarding for our flight Lufthansa 3571 was at
gate 28. The start was at 10.00am at runway 29.
The aircraft was an Canadair Regionaljet 700 D-ACPN. After aprox.
1:15 hours of flight time we landed in Dusseldorf
at runway 23R. Our friends from Langenbach were waiting inside the
terminal. After a 1 hour drive we finally reached the
village Langenbach.
After lunch we were invited by the chief of the local fire-brigade
for a coffee. Afterwards we went to the sport field for the
first training of our group. The reason
for our visit was a competition for fire-brigades
at Langenbach. In the evening we
had lunch near an old mill. On the next morning we were going to Ruppach-Goldhausen
were the competition took place.
Unfortunately it started raining - so our start was delayed. Finally
every starter in our group reached the medal.
Here
you can find pictures of the competition
After breakfast in the next morning we were
going back to Dusseldorf. We had aprox 5 hours time to walk through
Dusseldorf.
Some pictures from Dusseldorf ...
In
the evening we returned to the airport and checked in. Boarding for
our flight LH 3576 to Vienna was at gate A80.
Takeoff was at 5:40pm at runway 05R. The aircraft was a Boeing 737-530
D-ABJE, landing at Vienna was at runway 34.
