At
the beginning of April I made a trip to Charlotte in North Carolina.
Boardinf for flight Austrian 111 to Munich was at gate
C55. Takeoff to hour one hour flight was at aprox 7am at runway 29.
This was my first flight in an Austrian A319 with the
registration OE-LDB. Landing in Munich was at runway 08L. I spent
the time until my departure to Charlotte at the lounge.
Boarding for Lufthansa flight 428 was at gate H10, takeoff was at
runway 08L at 11am. This time a Airbus A340-311
D-AIMF, former in service with Sabena, was our aircraft. Flight time
was aprox, 10 hours, landing in Charlotte was at
runway 36R.

After customs I took a taxi to my hotel - Courtyard
Charlotte City Center - located direct at downtown Charlotte. After
a short break I made a walk through the city. My first stop a the
next morning was a the Ericsson Stadium followed by
some pictures from the skyline the I continued my walk through Charlotte.
There are not much sights in Charlotte, but
it is a yery nice and clean town. In the evening I made some photos
from Charlotte at night.

At
the 11th of April I returned to the airport. After check-in I hade
enough time to make some pictured from aircrafts
at the apron. Most of the planes belonged to US Airways, which used
Charlotte as HUB.
Boarding
for flight Lufthansa 429 was at gate D12, takeoff was at runway 36L.
The aircraft was a Airbus A340-311
D-AIMF again. Landing in Munich was at runway 08L. After 30 minutes
I boarded flight Austrian 112 to Vienna
through gate G04. The aircraft during this 1 hour flight was a Airbus
A321-111 OE-LBA, landing in Vienna was at
runway 34.
